No charges will be filed against Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable will not face charges over allegations that he assaulted former defensive assistant Randy Hanson.

On Thursday, Napa County district attorney Gary Lieberstein said in a statement that the investigation concluded no charges were warranted.

"We have concluded that the facts and evidence developed do not warrant criminal charges be brought against Tom Cable in regards to an incident which occurred on August 5, 2009 in a hotel room at the Oakland Raiders' training camp in Napa."

"Our decision is based on a full review of the evidence," Lieberstein said in a press conference, noting that there were "many inconsistencies" in Hanson's statements.

With no charges being filed against Cable, there should be no discipline from the NFL to the Raiders’ coach.

On Sunday, the Raiders were able to get back on the winning side of things defeating the Philadelphia Eagles. With the announcement of no charges coming against Cable, the Raiders organization can count that as another win for the team.

With the Cable-Hanson incident behind them, the team can now fully focus on preparing to face the New York Jets this Sunday in Oakland.
