Baltimore Ravens Derrick Mason dislocates finger

Though Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason has decided to come out of his brief retirement, the receiver will not be playing in the Ravens first preseason game.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Mason, while attempting to pick up a low pass dislocated a middle finger on Tuesday, and left practice with the finger wrapped.
He would later return to practice, but in street clothes.

Ravens head coach does not seem to think there would be any problems with Mason’s dislocated finger. Coach John Harbaugh is of the opinion that the team does not anticipate any problems with Mason’s finger injury.

The team would need Mason though since Mark Clayton is unavailable due to a hamstring injury and Demetrius Williams has a similar injury as well.

Harbaugh’s team will be limited in the receiving department when they file out against the Washington Redskins, a team rumored to make a coaching changing if Jim Zorn does not navigate the Redskins to a winning season in 2009.
