Favre downplays nerves on Lambeau return (AP)

FILE - In this March 6, 2008 photo, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre(notes) gets choked up as he talks about his retirement during a news conference at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Favre is downplaying any anxiety about returning to Lambeau Field, though he expects to hear both boos and cheers. Favre insisted Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, he hasn't thought much about emotions he might feel when Minnesota travels to Green Bay, except when others bring up the subject. After 16 seasons as a Packers star and icon, Favre will play there for the first time as a visitor.

Before Brett Favre's first preseason game with Minnesota, a meaningless performance featuring all of six snaps, he was nervous and nauseous. In the last hours before the Vikings played his former team at the Metrodome, Favre muttered to himself, "Man, I'm losing it." So how anxious must he be THIS week?
