Barcelona steals point at Inter as Eduardo knees in Arsenal winner

With most of the focus of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League matches on the Inter Milan and Barcelona encounter with Samuel Eto’o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing against their old clubs, most fans might have either left the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, Italy a little disappointed with a 0-0 score line between both clubs.

Those watching on television were probably disappointed in the result also.

It was a scrappy game to begin with as both Ibrahimovic and Eto’o though the highlight of the game, failed to put a shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.

USA plays Trinidad and Tobago for win in World Cup qualifier

When the United States Men’s national team file up later today against the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago, it has to be for three points and nothing less.

David Ortiz tested positive for steroids in 2003

So Manny Ramirez and Alex Rodriguez are not the only major names in Baseball to test positive. Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and key member of their World Series championship in 2004 and 2007, tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003.

Ortiz and Ramirez were among more than 100 MLB players who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003, according to a report in the New York Times.

Former pitcher Bibby dies at 65 (AP)

Former major league pitcher Jim Bibby has died. He was 65. Community Funeral Home in Lynchburg said Wednesday that Bibby died Tuesday night at Lynchburg General Hospital. The cause was not disclosed. The family asked for privacy but said a statement would be released later. Bibby played 12 years in the majors and pitched the first no-hitter in Texas Rangers history, beating Oakland 6-0 in 1973.
