Though Brett Favre has mentioned that it is very unlikely that he returns to the NFL next season, it’s never say never with Brett and that’s why Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress says he won’t give the quarterback a deadline.
Just like Favre waited during the offseason, skipped training camp and led the Vikings to the NFC Championship game, Childress will wait for Favre to either play or not for the 2010 NFL season.

Editor The Pittsburgh Steelers are quickly running out of games to turn their season around and they might also be without their most key player on defense, safety Troy Polamalu for the rest of the season.
Polamalu has been nursing a left knee injury that was initially listed as game-by-game, but it seems the knee is not healing fast enough for the perennial Pro Bowler to get back on the field and help his team on defense.
Though Polamalu hopes to still play this season, there are serious doubts and he also affirmed that there no date set for his return.

Editor Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was name the offensive player of the week in the NFL for his magnificent comeback performance in the Lions 38-37 home win over the Cleveland Browns.
It was a game between two teams that only had one win each so far this season, so nobody really cared to watch, but it turned out to be probably the best game of the week.
But on Sunday, Stafford who threw five touchdown passes was the key factor in the Lions turning the game around and making it arguably one of the most interesting games of this NFL season.

Editor Brett Favre is probably the most competitive person in the NFL and do not let a groin injury fool you about him possibility getting sideline from playing this Sunday coming off a bye week; especially when his opponent this Sunday is the Detroit Lions.
Favre, who has led the Vikings to a 7-1 record so far this season, will certainly like to lead Minnesota to a probably convincing win over the Lions as they continue to dominate the NFC North.

Editor The Cleveland Browns, especially head coach Eric Mangini, has been contemplating his starter since training camp. First he went with Brady Quinn to start the season, then went to his backup Derek Anderson and now Mangini has made the change back to Quinn ahead of the Browns Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens.
A huge divisional game for the Browns as Quinn gets a second opportunity to prove to the team that he is the better option for Cleveland at the quarterback position.

Contributor The Cincinnati Bengals’ 4-1 record this season holds pole position in the tough AFC North, which also includes the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, but it also shows a newly built character and trait never exhibited before now.
A shocker to say the least, head coach Marvin Lewis looked like he was existing stage left when his team lost the season opener, at home, to the Denver Broncos. A poor and low scoring game, every Bengal watched as Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley turned a play from nothing into something that had never been done before in the NFL.

Editor Maybe quarterback Brett Favre is not the sole reason why the Minnesota Vikings are off to a 5-0 start, their first in five years, but credit has to be mailed his way especially how he had led this team so far in the early season.
