Orlando Magic Center Dwight Howard has no problems with Shaquille O’Neal

Apparently there are two different Supermen in the NBA, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard and Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O’Neal.

But there is room for both if Men of Steel can acknowledge each other and Howard seems okay with that. Howard and O’Neal had been battling verbally over who deserves the title more, but Howard said on Sunday before the NBA All-Star Game that the battle between both over the “Superman” tag is over.

LeBron James teams up with McDonald's for Super Bowl ad

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has agreed to a multi-year partnership with McDonald’s once again boosting his already huge image as a global brand.

James will support several McDonald's programs and promotions as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides housing to the families of seriously ill children. James has already filmed his first commercial for McDonald’s which will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.

The commercial is a take on the 1993 ad that featured Michael Jordan and Larry Bird in a trick shot contest for a Big Mac.

Basketball Hall of Fame will move up enshrinement ceremony for 1992 Dream Team

The Basketball Hall of Fame will be moving this year’s enshrinement date from mid-September to Aug. 13 to accommodate the 1992 Dream Team being among the inductees of the Class of 2010.

"After weighing many options, we believe the second weekend of August is a better fit for everyone involved in the enshrinement ceremonies," Colangelo said in a statement.

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett plans to return Friday

Boston Celtics will be glad once their forward Kevin Garnett returns to the court on Friday as planned. Garnett who returned to practice is optimistic about his return and his familiar voice could be heard around the practice facility Tuesday as the team scrimmage after their 99-90 home loss Monday night to the Dallas Mavericks.

“When it comes to intensity, I don’t have to try,” Garnett said. “That’s just something that’s instilled in me and that I do naturally.”

Injured Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady probably an All-Star starter

Apparently even before he plays an NBA regular season game this year, Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady is on pace to becoming an NBA All-Star next year in February when the event hits the Cowboys stadium in Arlington, TX.

McGrady so far has not played a single minute for the 12-9 Rockets which picked up Trevor Ariza during the offseason.

Despite the lobbying by Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, Hall-of-Famer Michael Jordan says that many other great players are worthy of having their number retired by the NBA along with is.

"It was very nice, I totally understand that," Jordan said on NBA TV. "But I'm a guy that says there is no one great player in the NBA. The NBA lasts a lot longer than one particular person so I understand what his point is."

Report: Stephen Jackson traded to the Charlotte Bobcats

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Golden State Warriors have traded their forward and former captain Stephen Jackson to the Charlotte Bobcats for former Phoenix Suns swingman Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic. Warriors guard Acie Law also heads the other way to Charlotte with Jackson.

LeBron James done talking about possibly becoming a free agent in 2010

Although it will continue to be the talk of the NBA this season and heading into next season, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is done talking about it.

On Wednesday before the game against the Orlando Magic, James said that he was done talking to the media about his plans for next summer as a free agent until after the season was over. At the end of this season, James can opt-out of his contract and become a free agent.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is all for the legal use of steroids in sports, as long as they are administered under a doctor's supervision to help athletes recover from injuries and there's no risk of long-term health effects.

While speaking at a forum at the University of Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Cuban stressed that he would only support supervised steroid use that proved to have no long-term effects.
