LaDainian Tomlinson Still has Value in Limited RoleSubmitted by admin on March 3, 2010 - 12:07pm |
Well…they did it. We all expected it and they did it. The San Diego Chargers released 30-year-old running back LaDainian Tomlinson last Tuesday.
The man who kept the electricity in the Chargers offense for the past eight years will be looking for a new home over the course of the next few weeks but he shouldn’t have to look too hard. There are a plethora of teams that should be willing to glance in L.T.’s direction for next season.

Apparently, Lincedum the 2008 and 2009 Cy Young winner had demanded a $13 million salary for the 2010 season. That amount if agreed would have been a record for a player entering his first year of arbitration.

The players are hoping lawmakers in Washington D.C. can help overturn a possible victory in the Supreme Court antitrust case which would affect free agency amongst other things like ticket prices.
“We want Congress to know that management is pushing us toward a lockout,” said Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae who is also the union president and part of the 30 current and former players who were on Capitol Hill to discuss the issue.

Contributor According to the Associate Press, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Michael Vick can keep his $16 million in roster bonuses from the time he was with the Atlanta Falcons.
Apparently a federal appeals court, Tuesday, supported a judge who ruled against the NFL and backed the Eagles quarterback in keeping the bonus.
Judge David Doty had order that Vick could keep the bonus and The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals supported that motion, because this was money Vick had already earned before his dogfighting conviction, hence he could not part with the money.

Editor As both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys battle for the 100th time, what’s more important is the winner takes the lead in the NFC East, and Eagles running back Brian Westbrook, who suffered a concussion against the Washington Redskins, does not want to miss out on this Sunday encounter.
When Eagles and Cowboys play, it is always a battle regardless of recent history and though Westbrook missed Philadelphia routing the New York Giants 40-17, the Eagles main running back, ahead of LeSean McCoy, does not plan on missing another divisional game.

NFC East Week 8 Preview: Redskins get a much needed break, Cowboys continue to rollSubmitted by admin on October 30, 2009 - 4:25pm |
After an interesting Week 7 in the NFC East, it seems like the only thing that can be expected from the division on a weekly basis is, well, uncertainty.
The New York Giants who at one point seemed like the team to beat in the entire league dropped its second game in a row. The Arizona Cardinals were able to showcase their defense in the Meadowlands and forced three interceptions against Eli Manning. Manning had as many interceptions in this game as he had in the first six games of the season, and only managed to find the end zone once.
