Michael Jordan has reached a deal to buy the Charlotte Bobcats and he isn’t wasting any time trying to help the team continue on the right path and make the playoffs. Jordan got hands-on at the Bobcats’ shootaround on Monday, even participating in a game of H-O-R-S-E with Gerald Henderson.

The Washington Wizards’ president, Ernie Grunfield stated on Friday that the team plans to stick by Gilbert Arenas despite his pending legal situation.
Arenas will miss the remainder of the NBA season after being suspended by NBA commissioner David Stern. Arenas pleaded guilty last month to a felony gun charge and is scheduled to be sentenced March 26.

Contributor Apparently there are two different Supermen in the NBA, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard and Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O’Neal.
But there is room for both if Men of Steel can acknowledge each other and Howard seems okay with that. Howard and O’Neal had been battling verbally over who deserves the title more, but Howard said on Sunday before the NBA All-Star Game that the battle between both over the “Superman” tag is over.

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has agreed to a multi-year partnership with McDonald’s once again boosting his already huge image as a global brand.
James will support several McDonald's programs and promotions as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides housing to the families of seriously ill children. James has already filmed his first commercial for McDonald’s which will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
The commercial is a take on the 1993 ad that featured Michael Jordan and Larry Bird in a trick shot contest for a Big Mac.

Contributor Apparently even before he plays an NBA regular season game this year, Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady is on pace to becoming an NBA All-Star next year in February when the event hits the Cowboys stadium in Arlington, TX.
McGrady so far has not played a single minute for the 12-9 Rockets which picked up Trevor Ariza during the offseason.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Shaquille O’Neal has stepped up many times on the basketball court, but this time O’Neal has stepped up off-the-court to help a family in a trying time.
O’Neal paid for the funeral of a five-year-old North Carolina girl whose body was found last week.
Shaniya Davis was kidnapped, raped and murdered after being reported missing November 10. Her body was found six days later on a roadside about 30 miles from her hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Davis’ funeral was held on Sunday.

Despite the lobbying by Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, Hall-of-Famer Michael Jordan says that many other great players are worthy of having their number retired by the NBA along with is.
"It was very nice, I totally understand that," Jordan said on NBA TV. "But I'm a guy that says there is no one great player in the NBA. The NBA lasts a lot longer than one particular person so I understand what his point is."

The Cleveland Browns have only been able to muster one win this season with the team they have, so why not try to add Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James to help get some wins?
LeBron James has recently expressed his confidence that he could suit up for an NFL team and be very productive and now Browns’ coach Eric Mangini has said that he would be willing to give James a shot if he wanted to come try out for the team.
"I think he should come on down," Mangini said.

LeBron James is on a quest to ignite a movement in the NBA. His quest: have all NBA players not wear the No. 23 anymore as homage to Michael Jordan.
"I just think what Michael Jordan has done for the game has to be recognized some way soon," James said. "There would be no LeBron James, no Kobe Bryant, no Dwyane Wade if there wasn't Michael Jordan first.
