Editor According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has mentioned that running back Brian Westbrook is out for at least three weeks after his last concussion.
Unfortunately for the Eagles and Westbrook, this is not the first concussion the running back has suffered this season, it is actually his second in three weeks. The last concussion, his first in his career, was against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night when Westbrook hit his head on linebacker London Fletcher’s knee.

Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers look to revive season on Thursday nightSubmitted by admin on November 12, 2009 - 11:24am |
As NFL Network kicks off their coverage of NFL games on Thursday night, two teams will be on display that desperately need to get back to winning.
The Chicago Bears started this season with high hopes after adding quarterback Jay Cutler to the team via trade, but so far, a 4-4 record wasn’t exactly what the Bears were expecting. For a long time, the talk in Chicago had been that the team was only a franchise quarterback away from getting back to the Super Bowl and winning, but that has not proven to be true.

Contributor Brett Favre is probably the most competitive person in the NFL and do not let a groin injury fool you about him possibility getting sideline from playing this Sunday coming off a bye week; especially when his opponent this Sunday is the Detroit Lions.
Favre, who has led the Vikings to a 7-1 record so far this season, will certainly like to lead Minnesota to a probably convincing win over the Lions as they continue to dominate the NFC North.

Editor The Cleveland Browns, especially head coach Eric Mangini, has been contemplating his starter since training camp. First he went with Brady Quinn to start the season, then went to his backup Derek Anderson and now Mangini has made the change back to Quinn ahead of the Browns Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens.
A huge divisional game for the Browns as Quinn gets a second opportunity to prove to the team that he is the better option for Cleveland at the quarterback position.

NFC East Week 8 Preview: Redskins get a much needed break, Cowboys continue to rollSubmitted by admin on October 30, 2009 - 4:25pm |
After an interesting Week 7 in the NFC East, it seems like the only thing that can be expected from the division on a weekly basis is, well, uncertainty.
The New York Giants who at one point seemed like the team to beat in the entire league dropped its second game in a row. The Arizona Cardinals were able to showcase their defense in the Meadowlands and forced three interceptions against Eli Manning. Manning had as many interceptions in this game as he had in the first six games of the season, and only managed to find the end zone once.

Contributor The major reason why the Cincinnati Bengals are leading the AFC North, which includes being tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is simply because of the performance of their wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.
Maybe a change in last name helps, but Ochocinco’s performance in the Bengals 45-10 win in their last game against the Chicago Bears with 10 receptions for 118 yards and with two touchdowns was just a sign of what he capable of doing when fit, no issues with his quarterback and the team looks in sync.

Editor Maybe what quarterback Jay Cutler wanted all along was a contract extension. Now he has one as the quarterback and the Chicago Bears have agreed on a 2-year, $30 million extension that runs through the 2013 NFL season.
Though the terms of the deal is yet to be released, according to an AP source, Cutler has $20 million guaranteed and roughly $30 million in new money.

Editor Maybe quarterback Brett Favre is not the sole reason why the Minnesota Vikings are off to a 5-0 start, their first in five years, but credit has to be mailed his way especially how he had led this team so far in the early season.
