LaDainian Tomlinson Still has Value in Limited RoleSubmitted by admin on March 3, 2010 - 12:07pm |
Well…they did it. We all expected it and they did it. The San Diego Chargers released 30-year-old running back LaDainian Tomlinson last Tuesday.
The man who kept the electricity in the Chargers offense for the past eight years will be looking for a new home over the course of the next few weeks but he shouldn’t have to look too hard. There are a plethora of teams that should be willing to glance in L.T.’s direction for next season.

Contributor When the Tennessee Titans were 0-3 to start the NFL season, many pundits were shocked and asked head coach Jeff Fisher to make a quarterback switch from the older Kerry Collins to the franchise player Vince Young. The coach did not think it was necessary to push panic button for a team that made the postseason the year before.
Now Fisher says Young is a different person compared to the quarterback he benched last season with the team currently riding a three-game winning streak.

Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers look to revive season on Thursday nightSubmitted by admin on November 12, 2009 - 11:24am |
As NFL Network kicks off their coverage of NFL games on Thursday night, two teams will be on display that desperately need to get back to winning.
The Chicago Bears started this season with high hopes after adding quarterback Jay Cutler to the team via trade, but so far, a 4-4 record wasn’t exactly what the Bears were expecting. For a long time, the talk in Chicago had been that the team was only a franchise quarterback away from getting back to the Super Bowl and winning, but that has not proven to be true.

According to a team source, Jackson tore his ACL on the final play of practice and is expected to have surgery next week.

Contributor The San Francisco 49ers had initially mentioned and probably hoped to ease wide receiver Michael Crabtree into the system of the team, but that is out of the door.
Crabtree should be expected to start immediately for the 49ers lining up opposite to veteran receiver Isaac Bruce.
The initial plan was for Crabtree to play between 12-15 snaps, as the 49ers slot receiver, when San Francisco returns from their bye week and head on the road to face the Houston Texans.

Editor The Indianapolis Colts are off to a 5-0 start, they have won 14 straight regular-season games and yet no one is really talking about Peyton Manning’s team as much as the media is continues to sign praises and raise the roof on the Minnesota Vikings, the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants.
On Sunday, Manning threw for 309 passing yards along with three touchdowns as the Colts dominated the Tennessee Titans 31-9 on their home turf at LP Field.
